Dharchula is a town located in the Pithoragarh district of the state of Uttarakhand. It is one of the most striking destinations of the Kumaon region which is blessed with lavish cultural and traditional practices.

Dharchula’s one of the most known destination is the imperial view of the awe-inspiring Om Parvat. The height of the peak is 6,191m and 74% of the portion of the Parvat lies in the neighbouring country of Nepal while the rest lies in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand.

It is treated as one of the most sacred peaks for Hindus. Thousands of the pilgrims and devotees pay their visit to the region to get a glimpse of it. It is popular for the divine symbol that formed on the peak when the ice covers it in snow during the winter. It is regarded as an auspicious and sacred site both for its spiritual significance and the tranquillity that it natural aura brings with it.
